The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a statement that a low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal for the second (10) week of June, and more than normal rainfall is likely in most regions and states.

According to the statement, the meteorological and hydrological forecast for the second (10) week of June is that a low pressure area may form over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal, and the southwest monsoon may strengthen over the Andaman Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
Due to the rainfall situation, more than normal rainfall is likely in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon Region, Bago Region, Magway Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Kayah State, Kayin State, Mon State and Shan State (Southern), and moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region, Tanintharyi Region, Kachin State, Chin State, Rakhine State and Shan State (Northern and Eastern).
Rainy days are expected in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon Region, It is expected that there will be rain and thundershowers in Bago Region, Magway Region, Upper Sagaing Region, Ayeyarwady Region, Tanintharyi Region, Kachin State, Karen State, Chin State, Mon State, Rakhine State and Shan State (North and South) for 7 to 9 days and in Mandalay Region, Lower Sagaing Region, Kayah State and Shan State (East) for 4 to 6 days.
