The father of three grandchildren who escaped the Sky Villa condo collapse has posted a video on social media.

The trapped people are a 75-year-old grandmother and her two grandchildren, ages 16 and 13.

They were trapped for hours, and the children filmed the incident.

Regarding the incident, “When the daughters planned to run, they said they would call their grandmother, but when the door to her room opened, it wouldn’t open. When the two sisters couldn’t get it, they saw that the grandmother’s head was covered in blood. The three of them ran to the emergency stairs, holding hands, thinking that the grandmother would run away, and the building collapsed at the bottom. The two daughters each had their phones in their hands as they ran. They tried to call someone on the phone when the building collapsed, and it was dark and they couldn’t see each other because of the dust. They couldn’t find any exits because of the rocks that were covering their bodies.

After a while, they realized that there was a girl and an aunt under the daughters, and they shouted up and down, but they couldn’t hear anything from outside. As the hours passed, they lost their minds and cried with their grandmother. The daughters recorded it with the phones in their hands. If their daughters and their grandchildren died, they would find their phones and even unlock their phones so that their father and mother would be able to raise them. Then the rescue team arrived. They came closer after shouting from upstairs. They were calling for help, and when the rescuers said they would go get materials to drill a hole, they didn’t show up for several hours. Another rescuer came back. That one was kind.

He spoke clearly. I could hear them asking for a water bottle and a hammer. They hit a small hole with the hammer and water came out. My daughter thought the people downstairs had been rescued first. I told my daughters and grandchildren not to leave them. I couldn’t hear them. So my daughters and grandchildren were removing the stones, and I felt with my hand that the rescuer’s hammer was still there. So I took the hammer and smashed the stones, and a single-person entry was opened. I didn’t wait for the rescuers to call me back, but I tried to let my daughter go first. Grandma told me not to leave my granddaughter. Grandma was also exhausted and had nothing to hold her. There was a piece of wood, so I broke it and asked my sister to break it. I wanted to make a big hole for my grandmother, but the rocks were too big for both of us to do it. So I tried to get my daughter out. When she was able to get her head out, the rescuers pulled her out. While the rescuers were telling the rescuers to save my sister and grandmother, my sister was able to get out. When the rescuers took her to the ambulance, my grandmother was still there. When I said, “Help me,” the rescuer said, “Don’t worry, we’ve already got out.” My daughter spent a long time in the hospital, and my grandmother was released safely. I am very grateful to both my mother and my daughter for their strong spirit,” the father wrote.
