During the inspection, the Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, warmly greeted and thanked the members of the Yunnan Provincial Medical Rescue Team, who were the first to arrive in Myanmar within 18 hours of the earthquake, who are working together with Myanmar’s relief workers.

The Yunnan Provincial Medical Rescue Team, which consists of 37 members and carrying a total of 112 sets of emergency relief supplies, arrived at Yangon International Airport at 7:00 am on March 29. They then arrived in Nay Pyi Taw and are carrying out relief work. An elderly woman who was trapped in Uttara Thiri General Hospital was rescued alive at 4:00 am today (March 30) (more than 36 hours after the earthquake) in collaboration with Myanmar’s relief teams, and relief work is continuing.

Then, the Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and the members visited Pyinmana, He inspected the relief and rescue work being carried out at the Khemathiwan Monastery, which was damaged by the earthquake, and gave instructions on the reports of the officials and encouraged the relief and rescue teams.

Then, he paid homage to the 92-year-old and 72-year-old Presiding Bishop of Khemathiwan Monastery, Venerable Bhaddanta Tejaniya, and inquired about the health of the Venerable and presented him with some valuable items.
