CB-KMA Foundation has started relief work in earthquake-affected areas with an initial budget of 10 billion kyats.
Following the earthquake and subsequent aftershocks that struck Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, Magway Region, Northeastern Shan State, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and Bago Region on March 28, CB-KMA Foundation, led by CB-KMA Foundation Chairman U Khin Maung Aye, has started relief work with an initial budget of 10 billion kyats, in collaboration with CB Bank, Myanmar Metro Bank, KMA Group of Companies, Channel K families, and with the help of machinery and skilled workers.
In addition, the earthquake-affected patients attending Taungoo Hospital, the collapsed Taungoo town, CB KMA Foundation Chairman U Khin Maung Aye visited and donated money to Weluwan Yeikthar Monastery and Kandawlay Mosque.
In addition, a monk, five children died and one child was injured in the collapse of the Weluwan Yeikthar Monastery in Taungoo, Bago Region due to the earthquake. CB-KMA Foundation donated Ks. 60,000 each to the six dead and Ks. 10,000 to the injured child.
In addition, 12 employees of CB KMA Foundation and KMA Shwe Pyi Hotel donated blood to the Bago General Hospital Blood Bank for the urgent need of blood for the Mandalay earthquake victims.
