Two Myanmar workers who were cleaning an underground power line near Prachachu Sui 37, Wongsawan Bang Sue, Bangkok, Thailand, were electrocuted to death at around 11:45 p.m. on March 24.

The Katanyu Rescue Team received a call from the victims who were reported to have been electrocuted in an underground power line. The rescue team went to the scene and entered the 15-meter-wide and 15-meter-deep electric wire trench. Three rescuers were ready to help. Since the trench was a power line, they had to wait for the city’s electricity department to temporarily cut off the power before they could help.

The rescue team was able to rescue the two workers about two hours after the incident, but the two workers had already lost their lives.

The two Myanmar workers who died of electrocution were identified as 47-year-old U Min Lwin Win and 30-year-old Ko Lin Naing, and were taken to hospital.

Other cleaning workers said that the two victims had gone down a ladder to clean the building. Five minutes later, they hear screams of being electrocuted and went to investigate, finding two colleagues lying peacefully at the bottom of the ditch, according to reports from Thailand.
