The 2026 AFC Women’s Cup Qualifiers draw was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 27, with Myanmar drawn in Group (C) alongside Bahrain, Bangladesh and Turkmenistan.

A total of (34) teams will compete in the qualifiers, with (5) teams in Groups (A) and (B) and (6) groups divided into (8) groups of (4) teams each.

According to the group distribution, Group (A) includes Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Singapore, Bhutan; Group (B) includes Thailand, India, Mongolia, Timor-Leste, Iraq; Group (C) includes Myanmar, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Turkmenistan; Group (D) includes Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan; Group (E) includes Vietnam, Guam, UAE, Maldives, Group (F) includes Uzbekistan, Nepal, Laos, Sri Lanka, Group (G) includes the Philippines, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Saudi Arabia, and Group (H) includes North Korea, Malaysia, Palestine, and Tajikistan.

The qualifiers will be held from June (23) to July (5), with the top eight teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage.

The qualifying group matches will be played by a host nation, with Group (A) being Jordan, Group (B) being Thailand, Group (C) being Myanmar, Group (D) being Indonesia, Group (E) being Vietnam, Group (F) being Uzbekistan, Group (G) being Cambodia, and Group (H) being Tajikistan.

The hosts of the 2026 AFC Women’s Cup, Australia, the 2022 champions China, the runners-up South Korea and the third-placed Japan will all qualify directly from the final round without having to play in the qualifiers.

Myanmar has qualified for the final round of the AFC Women’s Cup five times.

Myanmar will face Bahrain, Bangladesh and Turkmenistan in the same group for the first time, having never met them in a previous AFC Women’s Cup qualifier.
