The Medal of Valor, a military commendation for bravery, was awarded to 22 individuals, including a major general and three colonels.

On the afternoon of March 27, the Chairman of the State Executive Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony to confer the Medals of Valor at the Zeya Thiri Palace in Nay Pyi Taw, where he delivered a speech and presented the medals.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the State Executive Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Deputy Chairman of the State Executive Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services Senior General Soe Win and his wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services (Army, Navy, Air) General Kyaw Swar Lin and his wife, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services (Navy) General Htin Win and his wife, Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services (Air) General Tun Aung and his wife, Union-level dignitaries and their wives, Senior military officers and their wives from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, officers, soldiers and heirs who will receive the Military Valor Medal were present at the ceremony.

In his speech at the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Chairman of the National Defense Commission, said that on the 80th Military Day today, those who have sacrificed their lives for the benefit of the country and the nation will be awarded the Military Valor Medal, which is a medal of honor for the military valor. Our country is a country with a long history of heroes, and it is proven by solid evidence. Honesty, humility, compassion and non-injustice are also unique and profound characteristics of our people. However, when injustice is committed against us, we have repeatedly shown that we have the right to respond appropriately and have the courage of our country. Regardless of race, religion, The Myanmar heroes have been able to emulate the legacy and tradition of not bowing down to the Burmese people whenever their religion is violated.

The military personnel have fought and defeated all the destructive forces that have attacked the country and the nation with full courage, and have also been able to develop and innovate new technologies. Therefore, medals are being awarded not only to those who have excelled in the fields of courage but also in the fields of science and technology. Today, 22 recipients of the Military Merit Medal, which is an honorary medal for military valor, will be awarded at the ceremony. The state is giving due honors to those who have contributed to the country’s stability, peace and development in all fields, including social, economic, scientific and technological sectors, the Commander-in-Chief of the National Defense Service, said the Chairman of the National Defense Service, NSAKA.

The ceremony was held to express that the recipients of the Medal of Valor, an honorary medal for military valor, were good citizens who bravely fought bravely for the country and the people, regardless of any difficulties, with a strong spirit and outstanding courage. They will always be remembered for their strong determination and heroic spirit in carrying out their duties.
