250 more foreign nationals who entered Myawaddy-Shwe Kuk Kol and KK Park areas through illegal routes have been detained.

The government is effectively suppressing crimes including illegal online gambling and online fraud in border areas. Today (February 19), 250 more foreign nationals who entered Myawaddy-Shwe Kuk Kol and KK Park areas through illegal routes have been identified and detained.

The collection of personal information and records required for the prompt repatriation of these foreign nationals to their respective countries is being carried out on the same day by joint teams of departments. A total of 1,553 foreign nationals who entered Myanmar illegally from January 30 to February 19, 2025 have been identified and will continue to be deported as soon as possible.
