The 2025 Honorary Degrees Conferring Ceremony was held on the morning of March 16 at the State Executive Council Chairman’s Office, Thabin Saung, and 50 graduates were awarded their respective honorary degrees.

The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Executive Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who delivered a speech. The ceremony was also attended by the Chairman of the State Executive Council, the Prime Minister’s wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the Deputy Chairman of the State Executive Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Vice Senior General Soe Win and his wife Daw Than Than Nwe, the Council Secretary and his wife, the Joint Secretary and his wife, Council members and their wives, Union-level individuals, Union Ministers and their wives, senior military officers and their wives from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence, Deputy Ministers and officials, individuals and their families who have received honorary degrees.

In his speech, the Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Assembly, said that in the all-round efforts to build a peaceful, modern and developed country, the strength of all ethnic people born in the Union is the main thing and the cooperation of all is important. With the leadership of the State Government, success can only be achieved through the spirit, awareness, physical and intellectual strength and cooperation of each and every person. In doing so, he said that he was happy and proud to see that there are individuals who have worked exceptionally well with diligence, diligence, and strength that are above the ordinary level. He said that under the leadership of the State Government, those who have devoted their hearts and souls to the work with all their knowledge, skills, and abilities, and who have selflessly sacrificed and served the country, are being honored with appropriate honorary titles and medals on Independence Day and other auspicious occasions.

Individuals who have worked tirelessly in building a peaceful, modern and developed country, The National Policy Committee Chairman, Prime Minister, said that individuals who have made sacrifices in protecting the three pillars of our country, who have made extraordinary efforts in line with political, economic, and social objectives to create a modern and developed nation, who have performed outstanding diplomatic duties in the field of international relations, who have successfully created and created world-class works in science, art, and other fields, and who have excelled in literature and fine arts are exemplary individuals for the nation. The State Planning and Administration Council honors and rewards individuals who have excelled and served the nation in such a way as to respect and value such individuals, the Prime Minister said.

In addition, the State Executive Council has been awarding honorary titles and medals not only to those who deserve to be awarded honorary titles domestically but also to those who have worked hard and contributed to the good of Myanmar with good intentions and good intentions in foreign countries to further strengthen the friendship between the two countries. The honorary titles and medals were awarded systematically in accordance with the provisions on honorary titles and medals, and only those who truly deserve to be honored were awarded, and the Prime Minister expressed his special pride and joy for the recipients and their families.

The five (5) forward-looking programs, nine (9) objectives, and two (2) national goals set and implemented by the State Government are very broad and deep in their practical implementation. Each of these objectives and programs has many detailed tasks to be carried out by each sector. As everyone knows, the necessary preparations are being made to hold the multi-party democratic general election. Since a free and fair general election is inevitable, the Prime Minister also said that the government and the people need to work together to hold the election successfully.

Then, the Prime Minister presented the Union Sithu Degree (13), Tatmadaw Ability Degree (3), Zeya Kyaw Htin Degree (17), Wunna Kyaw Htin Degree (14), Alanka Kyaw Swar Degree (1), and Sippa Kyaw Swar Degree (2).
