The Ministry of Education said that there were 817 examination centers in the 2025 university entrance exam, and out of the 220,843 people registered to take the exam, 208,889 took the Myanmar language exam and 11,954 failed.

The first day of the 2025 university entrance exam began on March 17, and a total of 208,889 people appeared for the Myanmar language exam nationwide, including foreign language exam centers.

This year, 13 foreign language exam centers and 804 domestic exam centers opened, a total of 817 exam centers, with a total of 220,843 people registering to take the exam. On the first day of the exam, a total of 208,889 people appeared for the Myanmar language exam and 11,954 failed, representing a pass rate of 94.59 percent, according to the Ministry of Education.

The Union Minister of Education and officials of the Ministry of Education, as well as the Chief Ministers and officials of the relevant regions and states, visited the students taking the 2024-2025 university entrance exam.

The 2024-2025 academic year university entrance examination will begin on March 17 with Burmese language, followed by English on Tuesday, March 18, Mathematics on Wednesday, March 19, Chemistry and Geography on Thursday, March 20, Physics and History on Friday, March 21, and Biology and Economics on Saturday, March 22.
