More than 132 million kyats worth of drugs, controlled substances and chemical related materials seized in Muse Township, Shan State (Northern) were burned and buried.

The national government has been continuously fighting against drugs and psychotropic substances that can paralyze the entire nation as a joint operation by various departments and security organizations, and the drugs that are discovered and seized are also destroyed at national and local level ceremonies.

In this regard, a local burning and burial ceremony of drugs, controlled substances and chemical related materials seized in Muse Township, Shan State (Northern) was held on the morning of November 8 in Suan Saw Ward, Muse Town, under the direction of the Shan State Police Headquarters. The ceremony was attended by local security forces and department officials, district and township level departmental staff, and invited guests.

At the ceremony, the Muse District Police Chief, Vice Chairman of the Muse District Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Prevention and Control Team, made a presentation on the burning/burying of narcotics and controlled chemical substances.

Then, the attendees inspected the narcotics and controlled chemical substances to be burned/buried.

Then, the Muse Police Station seized evidence from 19 drug cases and 10 chemical substance cases, a total of 29 cases, including 9,375 methamphetamine pills, 0.1179 kg of ketamine, 0.751 kg of HAPPY WATER, 1.41 kg of heroin, 0.006 kg of khat khu, 0.34404 kg of opium, 1.375 kg of marijuana, 520 liters of METHYLAMINE, 1,200 liters of THIONYL CHLORIDE, 100 liters of BENZENE, It is reported that 1862.7975 kg of bone charcoal, 2419.879 kg of SODIUM ETHOXIDE, 5549.778 kg of CAUSTIC SODA, 735.92 kg of SODIUM BISULFITE, 418.59 kg of POTASSIUM CHLORIDE, and 329.04 kg of SODIUM CHLORIDE, with a total value of over 132.132 million kyats, were burned or buried.
