Three warships from the Russian Pacific Fleet have arrived in Yangon to conduct the third Myanmar-Russia maritime security exercise.
Today (November 10) evening, the frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov, corvette Gremyashchiy and support ship Boris Butoma from the Russian Pacific Fleet arrived at Thilawa Port, Yangon to conduct the third Myanmar-Russia maritime security exercise and conduct a goodwill visit.

The three warships from the Russian Pacific Fleet that arrived were welcomed by senior officers, officers and soldiers of the Tatmadaw (Navy), the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Vice Admiral Aleksei Anatolievich Kilashko, who is on a goodwill visit to Myanmar, the Russian military attaché to Myanmar and officials.
The warships will be led by Captain 1st Rank Ulyanenko Aleksey of the Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet as the group leader, and will be accompanied by officers and soldiers. During the trip, they will visit landmarks in Yangon, hold bilateral friendly sports competitions, and conduct harbor-based exercises (Harbour Phase).
