The Ayeyarwady Foundation has opened temporary hospitals for the earthquake-hit Mandalay General Hospital and Kandaw Nadi Hospital.

The Ayeyarwady Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, has opened a 50-bed temporary hospital with 12 HDUs for the earthquake-hit Mandalay General Hospital on April 6, and a 150-bed temporary hospital with six HDUs for the Mandalay Kandaw Nadi Hospital on April 8. Efforts are ongoing to open 100-bed temporary hospitals for the Mandalay Orthopedic Hospital and Sagaing Township General Hospital as soon as possible.

The Ayeyarwady Foundation would like to express its gratitude to all those who have helped to build and open these temporary hospitals.

Similarly, the Ayeyarwady Foundation, in consultation with officials from the Mandalay City Council, is taking responsibility for the demolition of the new Mandalay Ma Soyung Tay Thit school building, which was destroyed by the earthquake, with machinery, vehicles, and a supervisor and operator from Max Myanmar Construction. The foundation has donated 750,000 kyats to the 26 monks who died in the collapse of the main school building, 49 injured monks who are receiving medical treatment, 150,000 kyats to the 500 monks who are studying, 350,000 kyats for 10 days of food, 250 bags of rice, a total of 140,000 kyats.

Similarly, in Mandalay Bong Oh village, where four mosques and about 100 houses were destroyed by the earthquake, 500,000 kyats each to the surviving families of the 139 people who died and 100 people who were seriously injured, along with sympathy funds for those who lost their homes, rice, dry food, clean water, The Ayeyarwady Foundation has donated a total of 1,500,000 kyats.

In addition, the Ayeyarwady Foundation has provided 500,000 kyats each and 350 bags of rice, totaling 1,000,000 kyats, to the families of (176) victims in Minlan Ward, Sagaing City, where three mosques and many houses were destroyed by the earthquake.
