The People’s Party (PP) opened its Mudon Township Party Office on the morning of March 9.

The People’s Party’s policy objectives include ensuring that all citizens are free from discrimination based on race, religion, gender, poverty, and wealth, ensuring democracy and human rights, equal rights for ethnic groups, and building a democratic federal union. The People’s Party is a party that values race, gender, poverty, and wealth, human rights, and democracy, and that it also wants to establish a democratic federal union, said U Aung Ko Win Than, the head of the Mon State People’s Party.

He continued, “I understand that politics is about serving the country. It is not wrong to say that politics is a public service. When it comes to public service, the most common issues we encounter in Mon State are land issues, registration issues, and criminal cases. Currently, the party is providing assistance in accordance with the law on these issues.”

He also believed that political culture would improve only if more politicians, who are committed to serving the interests of the people and serve them with all their might, were to increase.

The People’s Party (PP) has opened party offices in Kyaikmarao Township and Mudon Township in Mon State, and is working to open township party offices in Mawlamyine and Chaung Son Townships soon, U Aung Ko Win Than added.

The People’s Party is a nationwide party that has registered as a party under Section 3 of Chapter (2) of the Political Parties Registration Law and received approval to establish a party from the Central Commission under Section 9 of the law on December 29, 2023.
