According to residents, the bodies of three young men with gunshot wounds were found on a forest road leading to a farm in the Letpangone section of the Taunggyar Ward in Thuwannawaddy Township, Thaton Township.
A local farmer said that at around 6:30 a.m. on May 6, a local farmer found the bodies of two young men with gunshot wounds on a forest road leading to the farm in the Letpangone section of the Taunggyar Ward.
He continued, “The two young men were found dead on a Honda Wave-100 motorcycle with gunshot wounds. Seven 9 MM bullet shells were found near them. The two deceased were identified as Ape Kaw, 22, and Win Ko Oo, 30, both residents of the Taunggyar Ward.”
The body of another young man, 23-year-old So Pyae Htoo, was found on a farm in the forest. Inside the farm, 60 WY-labeled methamphetamine pills, pieces of a lead plate used for drug use, eight bullets used to fire a shotgun, a Leo beer can, eight 9 MM bullet shells, and two bullet shells were found near the body, the local resident said.
The bodies of the three young men who died from gunshot wounds were taken to Thein Seik District Hospital in Thuwannawaddy by local social relief groups.
The relevant authorities conducted examinations on the victims of gunshot wounds, and found that Ape Kaw had a bullet wound in the mouth and a bullet wound in the right chest; Win Ko Oo had a bullet wound in the mouth and a bullet wound in the right ear; Soe Pyae Htoo died from a bullet wound to the left abdomen and a bullet wound to the left ear.
The locals said that it is not yet known why the three young men who died from gunshot wounds were shot.
On May 3, a local man named Ko Soe Than (B) Than Gyi from Tin Shu Village, Thanbyuzayat Township, was also shot and killed by armed men.
