In Mawlamyine, a doctor has reportedly been arrested by the security police for allegedly paying money to kill his ex-wife.

The incident occurred on May 5 at around 1:20 p.m. when a suspicious person arrived in a Toyota vehicle in front of Godavan’s shop on Lower Road, Kwinrat Ward, Mawlamyine. The police went to investigate and found the driver, identified as Nai Oo, 50, from Ain Zeya Myothit, Mottama, Paung Township. They found a black money bag, banknotes, a pistol, a magazine, and 12 rounds of .32 auto ammunition in a military green bag.

While the investigation was ongoing, the suspect was arrested at Kwinrat Ward, Mawlamyine. A white vehicle, KYN – 4 DD / 1163 Toyota Probox, was stopped and searched from Maung Ngam Market towards the Coal Mine Traffic Light on the main road. The vehicle was carrying the driver, Zaw Min Lat (b) Hmong Gyi (b) Nga Hmoon, (41) years old, who lives in the Kyauk Chan Kone Ward, Deng Dung Street, along with Kyaw Win Thu (b) Kala, (45) years old, and Hein Win (b) Byak Sok, (40) years old, from the same neighborhood, and Diesel Shop Road, Myay Ni Kone Ward.

The phone of the arrested Nai Oo was checked. Zaw Min Lat (b) Hmon Gyi (b) Nga Hmoon and Nai Oo exchanged words such as “What are you doing, haven’t you done anything yet, how can you deal with so many people?” Upon detailed investigation, it was found that Dr. Zin Min Naung Naung, 35, who is divorced from Ma Wint Myat Myat Phyo from Godavan Dam Pauk Seng, had paid Nai Oo 80 million kyats to assassinate Ma Wint Myat Myat Phyo due to her financial affairs and scandals.

“Nai Oo, Zaw Min Lat (b) Hmon Gyi (b) Nga Hmoon, Kyaw Win Thu (b) Kala and Hein Win (b) Byak Sok were arrested by the security police while they were waiting to assassinate Ma Wint Myat Myat Phyo. The details are still being investigated,” said a person close to the security.

Regarding the incident, Nai Oo, who planned to assassinate Ma Wint Myat Myat Phyo, It is reported that Dr. Zin Min Naung Naung, who was accompanied by Zaw Min Lat (b), Hmong Gyi (b), Nga Hmoon, Hein Win (b), Byak Sok, and Kyaw Win Thu (b), Kala, has been charged under Section 307/114 of the Penal Code at the relevant police station.
