A Myanmar delegation led by the Chairman of the State Executive Council and the Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, left for Russia this morning (May 7) on a goodwill visit.

The goodwill visit is accompanied by members of the State Executive Council, government ministers and senior military officers.

At the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Mr. Vladimir Putin, the Chairman of the State Executive Council and the Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, and his wife, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, and the members of the goodwill visit delegation departed for Russia from Nay Pyi Taw Airport to attend the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 to be held in Moscow, the Russian Federation.

During the visit, the Chairman of the State Executive Council and the Prime Minister attended the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and related events, Separate meetings will be held with the heads of state attending the ceremony, and during the goodwill visit, efforts will be made to further strengthen the friendship, economic, security and strategic cooperation between the governments and peoples of the two countries in all areas.

At the invitation of Mrs. Valentina Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the State Executive Council and the Prime Minister will be accompanied on the goodwill visit by

Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, the wife of the Chairman of the State Executive Council and the Prime Minister, who will hold talks with the Speaker of the Federation Council during the visit.
