According to reports from Thailand, 40 undocumented Myanmar nationals were arrested in Than Phaphon Township, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand.
On the morning of June 7, Thai authorities searched a sealed truck in Than Phaphon Township, Kanchanaburi Province, and found 40 undocumented Myanmar nationals in the vehicle.
The driver of the sealed truck, a 29-year-old Thai man from Sankhlaburi, Kanchanaburi Province, was searched by Thai authorities and was found to be carrying undocumented Myanmar nationals who had entered Thailand illegally through the Three Pagoda Area on the Thai-Myanmar border and were hiding in the mountains, and Thai news reports said that those who were willing to accept them were waiting in other townships.
According to Thai news reports, the Thai driver admitted that this was the second time he had transported the undocumented Myanmar nationals and that he had been arrested by Thai authorities before receiving payment from them.

The Thai driver of the closed truck and the 40 undocumented Myanmar nationals involved in the incident will be prosecuted under Thailand’s existing laws.
