The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) has confirmed that the Myanmar national football team will play against Pakistan at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon on June 10, at 5pm.

Myanmar national team head coach U Myo Hlaing Win said that the team had selected a preliminary squad of 31 players for the match against Pakistan, but they were only able to train with the full squad last week.

The Myanmar national team, which was not allowed to play an international friendly match before the match against Pakistan, played a friendly match against Myanmar U-22 team the previous day and lost (1-2).

The Myanmar national team is in the same group as Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan in the third round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

The Myanmar national team played against Afghanistan at home on March 25 in the first group match of the qualifiers, winning (2-1).

Myanmar’s national team will play a friendly match against MNL All Stars on June 3 as a final preparation before the match against Pakistan.

Pakistan, coached by England’s Stephen Constantine since 2023, is currently training with 27 players for the match against Myanmar on June 10.

Pakistan lost to Syria (0-2) in their first group match of the qualifiers.
