Manchester United manager Amorin has criticised his team’s performance after their defeat to the ASEAN All-Stars in a friendly match in Malaysia on May 28, with Myanmar international Maung Maung Lwin scoring the only goal.

“It’s a disappointing result. We didn’t do our best in training and that’s why we got the result we did. We should have won a game like this anyway. The important thing for us is not to get injured in this weather. That’s not an excuse. We should have done better,” Amorin said.

Manchester United are currently suffering their worst Premier League finish in their history and have also faced criticism for their Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

Manchester United, who had a poor season last season, immediately went on a friendly trip to Asia to shore up their finances, even though other Premier League teams were taking a break at the end of the season. In their first match, they lost to the ASEAN All-Stars thanks to a goal from Myanmar international Maung Maung Lwin.
