The Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, visited the temporary hospital of the US-based Samaritan’s Purse International Relief Organization, which is currently operating in the earthquake-damaged MICC-1, Yan Ming Dam and Shwe Kyar Pin Ward.
The Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, visited the temporary hospital of the Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1), which was damaged by the earthquake that struck Mandalay on March 28, and the temporary hospital operating in the township stadium in Yan Ming Dam and Shwe Kyar Pin Ward, Zambuthiri Township, on the afternoon of April 9 and gave a message of encouragement.
The Chairman of the State Administrative Council, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by the Council Secretary, General Aung Lin Dway, Union Minister U Myo Thant and officials, inspected the damage to the main building of the Myanmar International Convention Center-1 (MICC-1), the entrance ceiling, the Jade Hall, The damage to the ceilings of the Pattamyar Hall and Mya Hall, the meeting halls, and some minor cracks and damage to the walls of the State Planning Council were inspected and the Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Planning Council, visited the Yanmyan Dam in Dakshinathiri Township and inspected the temporary repair of the cracks in the embankment caused by the earthquake, the work of filling the cracks with sand and soil, and the work of testing the soil. The officials explained the information about the Yanmyan Dam, the strength of the dam, and the cracks caused by the earthquake. The Prime Minister, upon receiving instructions, instructed the State Planning Council to complete the work of repairing the damaged embankment before the rainy season, to make the watershed forests green, to maintain the planted trees, and to take other necessary measures.
Then, the Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Planning Council, visited the Jambuthiri Township, The US-based Samaritan’s Purse International Relief Organization, which is temporarily providing treatment at the township stadium in Shwe Kyabin Ward, arrived at the mobile hospital and Dr. Elliott Tenpenny, the hospital’s director, explained the operations being performed at the hospital and the conditions of the hospital’s operation. The Prime Minister toured the mobile hospital, greeted the patients, and expressed his gratitude to the US government and the American people for coming to Myanmar to provide such assistance.
