Aston Villa have lodged a complaint with the Premier League Referees’ Association over a referee’s decision in their match against Manchester United, claiming it was a serious error of judgement.
The referee, Bramall, was the correct decision to send off Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Then, when Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rodgers scored, he refused to award the goal, claiming that the shot had been caught by the goalkeeper.
As a result, the goal that had been scored when a player was down was not awarded and Manchester United took the lead a few minutes later, eventually losing 2-0.
Aston Villa have lodged a complaint against Bramall’s decision.
Inter Milan coach Inzaghi says he will think about his future after the Champions League final.
Inzaghi is under contract with Inter until 2026 and has not yet extended his contract, so Saudi club Al-Hillah are considering a move for him.
Al-Hillah have reportedly offered Inzaghi a two-year contract worth €100 million, with a salary of €50 million per year.
However, Inzaghi says it would be crazy to think about the matter now and that he will only think about his future after the Champions League final.
“Since I was at Lazio, this has happened every year. There have been offers from Italy, from abroad, from Saudi Arabia. But to think about it now would be crazy. The Inter president said he would discuss the matter the day after the final,” Inzaghi said.
Inter Milan president Marotta said Inzaghi wanted to be clear about the club’s position on the future and that they would hold talks soon.
