The Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman of the Finance Commission, said that the Union Budget and Expenditure Bill for the 2025-2026 fiscal year, including subsidies to regions/states, and the Union Budget Bill drafted based on it should be reviewed and approved by the Finance Commission.

Then, Secretary of the Finance Commission, Union Minister U Win Shein explained the Union Budget and Expenditure Bill for the 2025-2026 fiscal year and the Union Budget Bill for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.

Then, the Union Minister for Legal Affairs and the Union Attorney General Dr. Thita Oo presented legal recommendations related to the bills, and the Union Auditor General Dr. Khin Naing Oo presented his findings and recommendations related to the budget and expenditure bills, and the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Chief Ministers of the Regions and the State Chief Ministers presented their respective reports.

Regarding the presentations, the Chairman of the Finance Commission, the Prime Minister, said that the budget is being increased in the Home Affairs, Defense, Health and Education sectors. Such an increase is for nation-building. If the financial flow improves, the national economy will be boosted. It is necessary for ministries and regional and state governments to allocate the amounts that can actually be used when allocating budgets.

It is necessary for the funds to be used in areas that will benefit the state and the people. It is necessary for the Union Ministers and the Chief Ministers of the Regions and States to ensure that the budget revenues are actually generated and the expenditures are only used in areas that are truly beneficial. The Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Finance Commission, said that the budget funds are also used to enhance the capacity and capability of the defense forces in working for national peace and stability.

It is necessary to use the funds systematically and to supervise the implementation of projects systematically. The Prime Minister, who is also the Chairman of the National Assembly, said that ministries should strictly inspect and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations, and that they should work systematically and with sincerity towards the country and the people to ensure the success of their projects.

The Finance Commission meeting also reviewed and approved the Union Budget and the Union Budget Bill for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
