A COVID-19 patient from Boragyi Village, Kyaikto Township, was discharged from the hospital today (June 23) after completing his health observation period, according to a statement from the Kyaikto Township Health Department.

On the morning of June 15, a man from Boragyi Village, Kyaikto Township, tested positive for COVID-19 and was taken to the Kyaikto Township General Hospital by a local charity.

The patient was placed in a separate ward at the Kyaikto Township General Hospital and was given medical care, and was discharged from the hospital today (June 23) after completing his health observation period, according to a person close to the township Health Department.

24 new COVID-19 patients were found in Mon State in the week from June 8 to June 15, according to a press release from the Ministry of Health.

The laboratory-confirmed patients found in Mon State are 23 from Bilin Township and one from Kyaikto Township. The laboratory-confirmed patient from Kyaikto Township has been discharged from the hospital, while some laboratory-confirmed patients from Bilin Township have also been discharged from the hospital, according to people close to the hospital.

According to the Ministry of Health, up to 25 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients have been found in Mon State this June.
