The Chairman of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, said that the development of countries such as China, India, the European Union and Russia has challenged the influence of the traditional great powers. As these influences and powers are being spread across many countries and regional organizations, the world is no longer dominated by one side but is adjusting the balance of power. In other words, it is now clear that no single country can create a global result on its own.

Then, Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn delivered a speech at the ceremony, and local and international experts also delivered speeches.

The first part of the discussion was titled “The Role of Myanmar and Asia in a Changing Multi-Axis World,” while the second and third parts of the discussion were titled “Geoeconomic Challenges and Opportunities Myanmar Will Face in the Multi-Axis Era Beyond 2025.”

The problem of difficulties and hardships for some of the civilian servicemen who were recruited due to illegal financial irregularities during the call-up for civilian service is also being addressed, said Vice Chairman of the State Planning Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lieutenant General Soe Win.

On the morning of March 20, while visiting officers, soldiers, and families of the Kalaw military district at the local military hall, Vice Chairman of the National Defense Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Lieutenant General Soe Win, made the following remarks.

In order to protect and safeguard the three responsibilities and fulfill the duties of national defense, it is necessary to strengthen the military. Therefore, the Civil Service Law was enacted in Myanmar in November 2010 and will be implemented in 2024. The National Assembly Vice Chairman said that since February 10, the National Assembly has established a level-based conscription committee and only those who meet the specified qualifications are being trained and appointed in accordance with the law. In doing so, some of the conscription committees do not operate in accordance with the law and procedures, which has led to difficulties for some of the conscripts who were recruited due to illegal and unwanted financial irregularities in conscription, and this problem must be resolved.

Therefore, if our military personnel find any wrongdoings by the level-based conscription committees regarding conscription, they need to report them to the relevant authorities in a timely manner. Since there are restrictions on movement in some areas regarding administrative matters, the food, clothing, housing, transportation and education of officers, soldiers, and family members from the battalions/units in those areas are being provided. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly said that there may be more or less difficulties in sectors such as health, so officials need to constantly monitor the situation and provide timely support.
