A discussion on the challenges and opportunities that Myanmar will face in a multi-axis world beyond 2025 was held today (March 21) at the International Convention Center-1 in Nay Pyi Taw.
The discussion was attended by the Chairman of the State Planning Council and the Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who delivered a speech. The ceremony was attended by a total of 230 people, including the Joint Secretary of the Council, General Ye Win Oo, Council members, Union Ministers and Deputy Ministers, representatives of political parties, experts and departmental officials from countries such as India, China, Russia, Thailand, Nepal, Japan, and Italy.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the State Planning Council and the Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, said, “Today’s discussion is unique because it is an international discussion attended by international experts. Local and international experts will discuss and make recommendations on the challenges and opportunities that Myanmar will face beyond 2025, with a view to the interests of Myanmar.”
The meeting is an important opportunity to shape Myanmar’s future and build connections with the global community. The world we live in is changing into a multi-polar world, and the patterns of influence of major powers in international relations are changing, and the role of regional organizations is becoming more important, said the NASC Chairman.
The multipolar world is a world where a single powerful country dominated the world stage in the past, but now, unlike that pattern and those scenarios, there are significant gathering forces in many countries and regional organizations. These gathering forces can be said to be a new world order that is spreading and exerting influence on the world stage, said the NASC Chairman.
