Two cities in Myanmar were among the world’s 15 hottest cities in the past few days.

According to the report of eldoradoweather, which publishes global weather conditions, on the afternoon of March 17, the 15 hottest cities in the world were also among the 15 hottest cities in Myanmar.

According to eldoradoweather, Chauk in Magway Region is ranked 2nd among the 15 hottest cities in the world.

Magway City ranked 13th.

Chauk City ranked 2nd with a temperature of 44.3 degrees Celsius, slightly lower than Tillaberi in Niger, which is the hottest city in the world.

Similarly, Magway City ranked 13th with a temperature of 43.2 degrees Celsius.

Among the 15 hottest cities in the world, four cities are from Niger, two cities are from Myanmar, two cities are from Mali, Three cities in Burkina Faso, two in Senegal, and one each in Togo and Cameroon.

The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology also issued a statement on March 19 regarding the daily temperatures.

According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, the daily temperatures were three degrees Celsius above the average temperature for March in Mandalay Region, Magway Region, Lower Sikkim Region, Tanintharyi Region and Shan State (North), and two degrees Celsius above the average temperature for March in Nay Pyi Taw, Bago Region, Kayah State, Kayin State, Chin State and Shan State (South), while the remaining regions and states had only the average temperature for March.

The unusual daily temperatures that occurred on March 18 included Chauk Township at 44.3 degrees Celsius, The weather service reported that Myingyan and Minbu towns recorded 42 degrees Celsius, Sinphyu Kyun 41.7 degrees Celsius, Magway 41.8 degrees Celsius, Nyaung U 41.7 degrees Celsius, Taungdwingyi 41 degrees Celsius, Mandalay Tada U (Air Weather Forecast) and Sagaing 40.8 degrees Celsius, and Aung Lan and Myin Mu 40.7 degrees Celsius.

However, while temperatures may rise to 40 degrees Celsius in seven regions including Nay Pyi Taw, meteorologist U Win Naing said that it is not a heat wave or an unusual high temperature.

“During March 14-20, daytime temperatures in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Bago, Nay Pyi Taw, Magway, Mandalay and Sagaing (lower) regions may continue to rise to 39 degrees Celsius and above 40 degrees Celsius. These regions are also experiencing normal high temperatures during the summer period (March to May), so this is not an unusual temperature increase or a heat wave,” U Win Naing wrote on his social media page.
