Twenty-four (24) PDF members who had entered the country without committing any crime and had returned to their parents were handed over to their parents.
This morning (June 20), a ceremony was held at the Northwestern Military Command’s Zeyathiri Hall to welcome back and hand over the PDF members who had attended training courses in ethnic armed group territories and had not committed any crime. The ceremony was attended by Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, Region Commander Brigadier General Myo Min Htwe, departmental officials, PDF members who had entered the country without committing any crime and their parents.
At the ceremony, the Region Chief Minister delivered a speech, and the Region Commander provided information on regional peace and stability, legal provisions, and a total of 24 PDF members who had returned to the country without committing any crime signed a pledge by the officials, and were handed over to their parents and provided with financial assistance and food.
PDF and other organizations will be welcomed if they lay down their arms and return to public life within the framework of the law in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the government to participate in the country’s future programs. Relevant officials in each region and state are handing over PDF members who have not committed any crimes to their parents and guardians once they return to the legal framework.
