The National League for Democracy (NLD) announced on August 17 that it has formed a Central Election Victory Committee for the general election to be held on November 8, 2020.

The formation was made in accordance with the decision of the Central Executive Committee meeting held on July 21.

The Central Election Victory Committee is composed of 31 members, including Chairwoman Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Secretary U Win Myint, and Honorary Chairman U Tin Oo.

The remaining members are U Htin Kyaw, U Henry Van Thio U, U Mann Win Khaing Than, Dr. Zaw Myint Maung, U Nyan Win, U Han Tha Myint, Dr. Aung Moe Nyo, U Tun Tun Hein, Dr. May Win Myint, Daw Nan Khin Htwe Myint, U Nyi Pu, Dr. Myo Aung, and U Phyo Min Thein.

In addition, Dr. Myo Nyunt, U Thein Oo, U In Htoo Khanaw Sam, U Tin Htut Oo, Dr. Myint Naing, U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Dr. Tin Myo Win, Daw Kyu Kyu Than, Daw Lei Lei, Daw Moe San Suu Kyi, U Ba Myo Thein, U Kyaw Htwe, U Kyaw Wunna, U Kyaw Yin Myint, and U Sai Shan Thilong are also reportedly members.
