Netherlands vs Spain (Friday 2:15 AM IST)
The Netherlands finished second in the Nations League group stage behind Germany, beating Hungary and Bosnia. Spain, on the other hand, finished top of the group with a clean sheet, having not lost a single match in the group. They also won three away games against Switzerland and Denmark and drew with Serbia. Spain are the reigning Nations League champions and European champions. They will be looking to maintain a draw in the Netherlands and win at home. A draw is likely.
Croatia vs France (Friday 2:15 AM IST)
Croatia have so far relied on veterans like Modric and Perisic, while players like Kovacic and Parsalić are getting older. Croatia’s high-quality young stars have dropped significantly. France will play with a very strong attack and defense. The midfield is a little less creative. But I like France.
Denmark vs. Portugal (Friday, 2:15 AM BST)
Portugal’s team is still led by veteran player Cristiano Ronaldo, but there are also many young stars in the team. Portugal’s squad is quite impressive. Denmark also finished second in the Spanish group and is a strong team with many high-quality players. Portugal will have to struggle on Danish soil.
Italy vs. Germany (Friday, 2:15 AM BST)
Nagelsmann’s Germany managed to finish above the Netherlands in the group. The team is an improved team and is in good form. But Germany is slowly starting to see a lot of older players, with a few new youngsters emerging. Normally, Italy is seen with older players, but right now, Italy has more young players in their squads. Germany’s attack is also weak. I like Italy on Italian soil.
