The powerful earthquake has claimed 3,725 lives, injured 5,104 people and left 82 missing as of May 16.

The six regions/states that were hit hard by the extremely powerful earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28 have recorded 3,725 deaths, injured 5,104 people and left 82 people missing as of May 16.

 

The Myanmar Fire Service and search and rescue teams from both inside and outside the country are conducting timely search and rescue operations in the affected areas, searching for people trapped in buildings, and as of May 16, 653 survivors have been rescued and 802 dead have been recovered.

 

Local donors are donating money and supplies to the affected people, while foreign countries, organizations and Volunteers are donating money and goods. Instant noodles (weighing 0.165 tons) donated by the Lotus Light Charity Society in Singapore arrived at Yangon International Airport between 5:00 PM on May 15 and 5:00 PM on May 16 through the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore. The aid is being distributed to the affected people as soon as possible.
