As of April 14, the total number of deaths, injuries, and missing persons due to the earthquake has reached 3,706, with 5,027 injured and 130 missing, said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun, spokesperson for the State Executive Council.

As of April 14, 6:00 p.m., Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun made the following statement regarding the number of deaths, injuries, and missing persons due to the Mandalay earthquake and international relief efforts.

“As of today (April 14), 6:00 p.m., the total number of deaths, injuries, and missing persons due to the Mandalay earthquake has reached 3,706, with 5,027 injured and 130 missing. The government shares the grief of the families,” Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

As for international aid, 133 aircraft from 24 countries have arrived, 1,862 rescue workers have arrived, and more than 2,210 tons of logistics and 1,170 tons of relief supplies have arrived, Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

Major General Zaw Min Tun said that 22 countries, including Russia, China, China (Hong Kong), India, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, UAE, Laos, Belarus, Indonesia, Bhutan, Philippines, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Turkey, USA, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Australia, Azerbaijan, have sent relief and relief supplies to Myanmar.

On March 28, at 12:51:02 PM local time, a very strong earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale struck about 20 kilometers northeast of Mandalay, causing extensive damage in Sagaing Region, Mandalay Region, Magway Region, northeastern Shan State, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, and Bago Region.
