During the meeting, the Special Representative of the Government of Japan for National Reconciliation of Myanmar and the Chairman of the Nippon Foundation donated 50 rucksacks containing 14 types of relief items, 60 relief hats and a pair of gloves to be used in the relief and relief operations in Myanmar following the earthquake. They also discussed the situation of the Japanese Government’s Special Envoy for Myanmar National Reconciliation and the Nippon Foundation Chairman personally donating relief supplies for use in the earthquake relief efforts in Myanmar, and the Nippon Foundation’s donation of food and other necessary supplies equivalent to US$3 million to the earthquake-affected people.
