A pickup truck driven by police in Thailand crashed into a lamppost, injuring 21 Myanmar workers.

The pickup truck carrying 21 Myanmar workers crashed into a lamppost at a checkpoint in Sankhlaburi, Kanchanaburi Province, at around 1pm on November 9, and the police chased it and hit a lamppost on the roadside in Phlanphe Village 4, injuring the Myanmar workers.
Three of the Myanmar workers were seriously injured and were taken to Sankhlaburi Hospital, while the remaining 18 were taken to Sankhlaburi Police Station.
According to the investigation by relevant officials, the driver accidentally crashed into a lamppost while driving through the checkpoint, and the driver escaped while the injured people were working.
The Myanmar workers were found to have no evidence of illegal border crossing. Action will be taken in accordance with the relevant law, and the driver who escaped will be arrested and prosecuted as soon as possible.
