A Burmese worker has died after a landslide at a construction site in Bangkok, Thailand, the Bangkok Post reported.

The landslide occurred at a construction site on the outskirts of Rama II Road, part of a high-rise expressway construction zone, when a concrete slab fell and crushed a Burmese worker to death.

The deceased Burmese worker, aged 39, was found partially submerged in muddy water at the bottom of a three-meter-deep pit by rescue teams, who tried to pump out the water before they were able to rescue him. The injured Burmese worker was rescued and taken to Bangkok 9 Hospital, but died of his injuries, the report said.

According to colleagues, the landslide occurred while they were working, trapping the Burmese worker between the soil and concrete, the report added.

Thai authorities are investigating the landslide incident, with the site supervisor and witnesses being interviewed.
