Veronica, a Burmese traditional boxer of Kayan origin, will face Thai female fighter Junior at ONE Friday Fights 107 on May 9.
The Thai female fighter Junior, who will face Veronica, is undefeated in ONE Friday Fights and has a 100-win record.
ONE Friday Fights 107 will take place on May 9 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, and will feature 12 bouts.
Veronica and Thai female fighter Junior will be the undercard pair for the event, and will fight in three three-minute rounds in Muay Thai.
Veronica made her debut with ONE Championship on February 14, losing by points to Chilean fighter Tu Valera.
However, Veronica lost to Chilean Valera in the fight, but received a bonus of 350,000 baht from ONE Championship CEO Chhetri.
The Thai female fighter who will face Veronica is only 19 years old, but she is undefeated in all 7 ONE Friday Fights.
The Thai female fighter has won 6 of her 7 fights by points, with only one by knockout.
The Thai female fighter’s last fight at ONE Friday Fights was against Hong Kong fighter Emily Chong in February, where she won by points.
Veronica joined ONE Championship after parting ways with Thailand’s famous Muay Thai club Tiger Muay Thai last January.
ONE Championship CEO Chhetri has been waiting a long time to sign Veronica, a Burmese traditional boxer, and has signed her at the end of her contract with Tiger Muay Thai.
ONE Championship signed Veronica, a Kayan-born Burmese traditional boxer, to an eight-fight deal, and she made her debut against Chilean Valera, losing by points.
Veronica, therefore, needs to win this fight, as it will be her second fight at ONE Friday Fights.
However, Veronica is a capable fighter, and her opponent, Fighter Junior, is likely to face a tough challenge.
