The Myanmar Fire Service said that bodies have been found in the Sky Villa condo complex that collapsed due to the powerful earthquake.
A male body was recovered from Wing C of the Sky Villa condo at 10:15 a.m. on May 3, and a female body was recovered from Wing C at 2:15 p.m., the Myanmar Fire Service said. The Myanmar Fire Service is currently conducting search and rescue operations at the Sky Villa condo complex.
Similarly, the bodies of three women were found in Wing C on the evening of May 2, and the bodies of a woman and a child (female) were found in the elevator lobby of Wing C on the morning of May 2.
On May 1, a male body was found in Wing D of the condo complex, and a female body was found in Wing C, and a pair of gold earrings and a gold bracelet were handed over to the deceased woman’s husband.
In addition, the Myanmar Fire Service announced that household items were also found under the rubble of the condo.
On May 1, a statue of Bodaw Aung Min, important documents, and a safe were found in Unit A, Room No. D5, and were handed over to the owner along with the property transfer team, the fire service announced.
Similarly, on April 30, important documents, jewelry, cash, a watch, and three suitcases of clothes were found in Unit (C), Room No. (M7), and were handed over to the owner, the Myanmar Fire Service announced.
Currently, the Myanmar Fire Service and social assistance organizations are continuing to carry out cleanup and body search operations in the collapsed Sky Villa condo.
Despite false reports that the Kawthaung-Yarnaung border will be closed, people are still traveling normally, according to people close to the Border Committee.
