The Myanmar U-19 women’s team, which will compete in the 2025 ASEAN U-19 Women’s Championship, will depart for Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on June 6.
The Myanmar U-19 women’s team has been training with a preliminary squad of (35) players since May 9 to prepare for the 2025 ASEAN U-19 Women’s Championship.
The Myanmar U-19 women’s team’s head coach, Daw Thet Win, said the team is made up of players from the Myanmar U-19 women’s team formed last year and players who have performed well in the Myanmar Women’s League this season.
The Myanmar U-19 women’s team has had about a month to prepare for its first competition, the ASEAN U-19 Women’s Championship.
The Myanmar U-19 women’s team was not allowed to play international friendly matches before the 2025 ASEAN U-19 Women’s Championship, so they played two friendly matches against the Myanmar national women’s team in the past few days, losing both matches (0-1).
The Myanmar U-19 women’s team will play a friendly match on June 4 as a final preparation for the 2025 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship, and the final squad will be selected.
The Myanmar U-19 women’s team is in Group A of the 2025 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship, along with hosts Vietnam, Laos and Timor Leste.
The 2025 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from June 9 to 18.
