The murder of her husband in Maha Aung Myay Township, Mandalay Region, on April 27, was discovered and arrested by her husband in collaboration with a man who was a social outcast.
At 11:00 a.m. on April 27, U Aung Nay Myo (50), owner of Happy Like Tea Shop located at 37×38 Street, Thingaza Ring Road (West), Sein Pan Ward, Maha Aung Myay Township, was found dead in the bedroom of the tea shop with bullet wounds. Security forces went to investigate based on a phone call from his wife, Daw Shwe Sin Win. U Aung Nay Myo died on the bed in the bedroom of the tea shop with a bullet wound from the right side, one bullet wound from the left side, and two stab wounds in the abdomen. A bullet shell with the Thai Arms 9mm marking was recovered from the scene of the crime, and a case was opened under Section 302 of the Penal Code by the No. (7) Area Police Station to identify and arrest the perpetrator.
A special investigation team was formed to investigate the incident, examine witnesses, and search for suspects in order to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the crime. The deceased U Aung Nay Myo’s wife, Daw Shwe Sin Win, was behaving suspiciously, so she was examined in detail. She said that her husband had tortured her in various ways and had repeatedly kicked her and her siblings out of their home, causing her to feel resentful. She had taken Ko Zaw Phyo Aung (33), a greengrocer at Thirimingalar Market in Yangon Region, whom she had fallen in love with over a year ago after using Tik Tok, to Mandalay and lived with him. When Ko Zaw Phyo Aung arrived in Mandalay more than a month ago, they rented a dormitory in Block (13), Oksat Raat, Daw Na Bwa Ward, Aung Myay Tha San Township, to live together. Daw Shwe Sin Win testified that she had contacted Zaw Phyo Aung by phone a few days ago to discuss the matter of murdering her abusive husband.
